As CBS has firmed up its midseason schedule and its programming needs, the network has ordered two episodes each of new drama series S.W.A.T. and sophomore comedy Kevin Can Wait. Both shows come from Sony Pictures TV Studios and are co-produced by CBS TV Studios.

Kevin Can Wait‘s order has been expanded from 22 to 24 episodes. The sitcom starring Kevin James, which went through a creative overhaul after Season 1 with Leah Remini replacing Erinn Hayes as female lead, is CBS’ strongest ratings performer on Monday, a night it has anchored at 8 PM for two seasons now. Facing The Voice, Dancing with the Stars and Monday Night Football, the comedy averages 8.2 million viewers and 1.8 in A18-49 (Live+7).
